Why should I create an account?

If you would like to participate in this Wiki and receive all the benefits of being a member of this Wiki community, you must create an account. Once you are logged into your account, all the user functionality will be enabled for you. For those who are visiting and choose not to create an account, you will only be able to view the pages within this Wiki.

What are the benefits of having an account?

• You can edit the content of any wiki page where you see an "edit tab" at the top of the page.
• You can create your own wiki pages.
• You can "watch" any wiki page and be notified by email when anyone makes a change to that page.
• You can create a discussion chain with other members for any wiki page.
• You can collaborate with colleagues on joint writing projects.
• You can share your "thrills of victory and your agonies of defeat!"

Instructions for Creating an Account

1. In the upper-right hand corner of this page (all pages, actually), click the log in / create account link.
   
2. On the Log in screen, click Create an account.
   
3. Create your account by entering the appropriate information.
   • User Name: Use your WSU Access ID.
   • Password: We recommend using your pipeline password.
   • E-mail: Although optional, we recommend entering your WSU email address. Automatic notifications of Wiki page changes will be sent to this email address.
   • Real Name: Although optional, please enter you name. This name will appear in conjunction with your contributions and discussions.
   • Give me a token... Check box: Optional
4. Click Create account.
   
5. When the page refreshes, you will see a Login successful message in the top, center of the page. This message confirms the creation of your account and that you have also been logged into the Wiki. You will also notice three additional items on this page:

• A note telling you that an email has been sent to you:

  "A confirmation code was sent to your e-mail address. This code is not required to log in, but you will need to provide it before enabling any e-mail-based features in the wiki."

IMPORTANT: Click the link contained in the email to activate the email notification functionality of your wiki account.

• Your user name appears after the Welcome message, and
  
• Your user name appears in the upper-right hand corner of the page indicating that you are, indeed, logged in.
  

Click the Main Page link in the navigation block located in the left-hand margin to restart your navigation to your desired page.
